Tiffany SnookHard to followProbably a good story but it’s ridiculously hard to follow.
-
MissdickpizzaKeep losing the threadThis is an interesting story but the way they tell it is a mess.

anna4213Don’t Listen To The Bad Reviews!I’m honestly surprised by how harsh some of the reviews are. I read through several and was almost deterred from listening, but ultimately decided to give it a go. This podcast is well researched, organized, and eloquently delivered. I’ve had to stop listening to other podcasts with obnoxious music that is distracting and misplaced, and this is not one of them. I also don’t find it difficult to understand any of the various English accents included...and I’m American. I also think the narrator has a soothing voice that is not stagnant or dull. Ignore other reviews and listen! It’s an intriguing case with so many layers, I’m hooked!

Klueso in FremontSoundtrackMight be a good story if the narrative was not overrun by the soundtrack. I’ll see if I can bear it in episode 2.

CNYHistorianWeally wish I could get past voiceI understand it’s probably tough having a disability regarding ones speech but that being said maybe podcasting isn’t the best career choice. As a police officer the story is very interesting to me but I can’t get past the childish sound of the narrators voice. Unsubscribed.

aaanyqAnother language? Is this available in English?

Max SalmeronNarrator probsUgh. Why must he emphasize every other word? It’s difficult to listen to. I’d rather listen to Allistair tell the story in his own words. Also annoying was the guy who read the newspaper stories. He sounded like a rough Eliza Doolittle. I’ve had to rewind the story so many times that I have realized it’s more work than it’s worth and I will just read about it online.

Miss Ginger 58Oh boy 😕This podcast feels like a setup to sell a book. We’re here for true crime not to hear about “the book” over and over. Bad voice acting and scattered information rather than the timeline that they said they were going to use to tell the story is a further distraction. It’s just too all over the place and too many extras are brought in to tell their own bits of the story, making this podcast a convoluted mess. Next time try introducing the main characters, simply giving some background and laying out the story in factual timeline of events rather than trying so hard that you fail to keep your listeners.
-
SandMountain42Second Season Weak Recap of FirstFirst season was interesting. Second season is rehash of first. Why bother? Because they have a book to sell of course.
-
Jen-DegtjarewskySolid Podcast, Deep ResearchSeason one is an incredible story, with so many twists and turns you won't see them coming. Season 2 is geared to sell a book, however the added facts they have uncovered since season 1 makes it worth the listen. Overall, great research, solid voiceover by Peter Jukes and I'm just so sorry for what the Morgan family has had to endure for the past 30 years. Lastly - Thumbs up to Hugh Grant for his financial support of this podcast.
-
wjacksjrFairI think the story is interesting, but to be honest, I find it really hard to follow sometimes, especially when they jump back-and-forth between all the parties involved; the different names; who said what and when; and what part of the timeline the story is currently in. It just seems like it could be told in an easier to follow manner. I'm trying to stay with it, but I can't say it's always easy. I'm just hoping it gets better as it goes along. As other people have said, the narrator does have a bit of a speech impediment. I notice it, but I don't find it as annoying as some people do.
-
Lou McLouMeh....I didn't love it. I didn't hate it. The story was interesting. But the storytelling left much to be desired. And that beginning..."if you've never heard this story, ask yourself why?".....terribly annoying...and doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I'm not asking myself why.
-
Bookshelves91GoodI had a hard time listening to the podcast and I had to rewind it multiple times. However, it was interesting to listen to
-
Suppercatscratch747InterestingThis is a complicated and often confusing but very compelling
-
DouglasdonutGreatThe podcast started listening to it last year. It really had a hold on me especially when I had to wait for the next podcast to come out I felt really awful for the family I had to share it with my coworker I'm so glad we're getting an update.

Annabells1171 of the best crime podcasts on iTunesIf you liked Serial, you'll like this. It's told in a similar format to Serial, but it's British and serious, without the podcast reporter and editor projecting themselves into to story as much as in Serials . I'd never heard this story before but I'm familiar with Rupert Murdoch and his companies- Fox News, News of the World, etc. It was an eye-opening podcast, and an exciting story, expertly told. The production quality is professional and the music is well done. The accents are appropriate to the region. Those who are giving this podcast a lower score bc of the accent: grow up. This is a British podcast. If you don't like the sound of it, don't listen. Leave it to the rest of us who do like it. Don't give it a low review bc that can prevent other folks from hearing it.

MacoashttgHard to listenMusic is distracting and sound effects are pointless. Didn't hook me from first episode. Search on.

SSDGM (stay sexy..)Soooooo good!!!Love this one. I had never heard this story. Now I know why. Great narration of a riveting story. Well worth the listen!
-
Buddy Neilson8 episodes too long...This doesn't really go anywhere... it's an interesting story, but you're better off reading about it on your own.
-
Unica SolaRiveting, shocking, heartbreakingThis is only the 2nd review I've bothered to write. But several unfairly negative or mediocre reviews compel me. This is far braver and less mealy-mouthed than Serial (though I thoroughly enjoyed that too!) I'm awaiting Season 2 with bated breathe (And I say this as someone who got too bored by "making a murderer" to finish watching it".) The grit of the Morgan family and the nerve of their supporters and the integrity of the journalists who made the show redeem my faith in humanity. Bravo! And thank you.

Berean ComicBerean ComicI thought this was very well made. Keep up the good work. Very informative and exciting layout
-
JBlack615Loved it!Very interesting story and well told. The accents make it that much better!
-
thekenteeContinued to listen while getting more and more irritatedFascinating story, told incompetenly. Butchered is a word that comes to mind... Wish the journalists wouldn't have assumed that podcasting a complex, multi-actor story is the same as writing a longform piece about it.
-
CalShalBoth Well Done and DisturbingA very well done podcast about a brutal murder. Police corruption, phone hacking and disasterous bureaucracy. This story is the very painful side of the saying, "Better to let ten guilty men go free than one innocent man go to prison."
-
Cobra_SurpriseLike Making a Murderer! But British!Fascinating, well produced, great audio, and it keeps you on the edge of your seat. It's a serious case, with wide-reaching implications, and there is a sprinkling of levity that keeps your frustration from lapsing into despair. Every new episode I hear, I find myself thinking "MIC DROP" at least 3-4 times. Really, really great. I'm totally hooked.
-
lizziebeth12UghThe "mystery" is no mystery, and the narrator has a horrible habit of whispering the end of his sentences/punchline. It's frustrating trying to navigate back 15 seconds, turn up the sound at the right time (and down at the other right time), and drive in metropolitan traffic. Clearly, he wants me to die too. Unsubscribe.

DC MattStrong recommendationGreat if you liked Serial
-
thoughtsinajarFascinating In-Depth Crime ReportingIf you enjoy Serial, give this English series a listen. Honest, appropriately dramatic, and personal, Untold is for inquisitors and victims alike.
-
jsdurlingGreat! The way the story is told is very good. Detailed and personal leaving one wanting more and asking questions every episode.
-
Ernamac3Interesting at firstHad to unsubscribe. I usually love these types of podcasts but the music, weird teaser (no need for a teaser on a podcast I'm already listening to) and the speech impediment the host has really put me off - seriously he is a HUGE distraction, they should have found a different host that sounds better. It IS a podcast after all.
-
AgoodalbumVery well producedCrazy story
-
jojoraccEpisode 3Why is Episode 3 temporarily unavailable? I keep getting error messages.
-
ddsmomCan't listen anymore.I'm a devoted Anglophile, but Peter Jukes' voice makes me want to send him to speech therapy. An 'R' should be pronounced as such. It's not a 'W.' He sounds like English Elmer Fudd. It's so distracting that I can't get into the story. If this is supposed to be the UK version of Serial, then they need to find the UK version of Sarah Koenig.
-
TurnerstormVery well doneJust heard about this podcast and I really enjoy it. Well written and produced. Looking forward to listening to every episode.
-
Cecilia's IslandI'm hooked!Super interesting and well told. I'm going to have to go back and listen to the episodes as I have to say I didn't even notice the music.
-
musogeekkeeps restarting from beginningNo way to pick up where you left off as it restarts with the extremely LONG trailer and into. Pretty poor story telling overall- does not live up to the hype.
-
KaliFornia_EhI'm not convinced it's worthy of the high overall reviews it has. It's hard to follow so far. They skip back and forth between all the people telling the story too often to get a clear picture. And the music! Does it have to be playing the whole time?! It looses its dramatic affect when it's used at every twist and turn (or lack there of.) I don't know how much further I'll make it.
-
clthomp2Serial-esqueCorrupt police. London. Murder. Very intriguing story. Look forward to hearing future episodes.
-
motography218GoodInteresting and pretty good, but there's weird moments where they'll go from talking about dark stuff to playing light hearted music and even tell a pointless joke in episode 2 right after discussing how the victim was murdered. It comes across as tacky and not taking the subject seriously. Other than that, well produced and interesting.
-
Ben_103Awesome!!Excellent story telling, great soundtrack. Can't wait to hear more!
-
Tabbycat82Interesting story!Nothing like a mystery to keep you awake at night. Sending positive thoughts to the family of this man and hoping justice will be served. To everyone reading these reviews before you subscribe I say just do it. A 30 year old murder mystery from England that seems to be a cover up of some sort. Such a tragic story so far.
-
Joel H.Brilliant storytellingThe hook is great, but it's the storytelling that shines through in this podcast.
-
Kkay23677Worth the listenFantastic production values, a fascinating story, and the vivid glimpse of a corrupt London in the 1980's make this well worth the listen.
