    Outstanding and captivating storyline.
This book should be made into a movie and released in the fall season, including the theme song used at the beginning and end of each chapter in this audiobook version. Love, history, macabre, all well balanced and everything contributes to the story.

    Check this out!
I didn't think I was gonna like this one but I thought I'd try it anyway and before I knew it I was stuck inside the story. Don't be fooled by thinking this is in the same vein as the pre-pubescent vampire trend; it is far above!

    Great read
I loved this story. And I have to admit, I never would have listened initially if I knew it was about vampires, cuz I'm not really into that, but this story kept me interested from start to finish. I loved the main character and enjoyed every chapter.

    A rough listen.
I feel like there was a bigger story here that wasn't being told. It was interesting but after I finished I had a ton of questions. What happened to Lucy or John up to his birthday? Did Lucy just hang out with Sabastian till John was old enough? Also, is anyone getting a little freaked out by adult guys having sex with (although she is 600+) a girl who has a body of a 15. Kind of creepy. A few times through the listen I though I forgot to download an episode. It seemed rushed and the way the story is told it sounds listless much like a bored high school student reading out loud in class. The voices she made got annoying at times. But! It does have its interesting moments so I would download it and give it a listen.

    Decent free pod-book
Entertaining, but some of the characters were not well developed and the narration was a bit flat. Still, an ok story and worth the listen if you like vamp stories and have to commute. Can't complain since it was free...

    Well....
Ok, teenage-vampires-in-love are not really my kind of book. That being said, this one is well-written AND well read (many Podiobooks are not). I will heartily recommend it to my sister-in-law, but probably not any other guys I know.

    Loved it!
Great story and very well read, I look long and hard for great free podiobooks/podcasts and this is one of them. I was really disappointed when it was over and can't wait for more from this author. Some other great ones are: We're Alive and Underwood and Flinch.

    Absolutely Wonderful!!!!
Wonderfully written and beautifully read, I found myself haunted by this story for weeks after listening. I think I even shed a tear at the end. The character portrayal was simple but elegant, and they seemed very real and believable to me, to a point where I found myself falling in love with the main character. There is some mature content, but I was pleased with how tasteful but passionate the scenes were dipicted. I still chuckle to myself as I think about all the times they made me blush while riding the bus to work! Ms. Steele's voice is very easy on the ears, and she imtitates character voices very well. I'm very eager to hear the next novel, and I'm greatly hoping for a sequel. Thank you so ery much, Ms. Steele. Keep them coming!

    Awesome!
I am normally a science fiction fan. Sometimes fantasy. About the only vampire stuff I get in to is endlessly watching Buffy. However I have to say that this is the best book ever. The writing is phenomenal. What a talent she has!

This was the first audiobook that I ever listened to and I really enjoyed it. The author has a great reading voice and I liked all the characters. Usually I don't like books with two much romance but in this one I found that I cared about whe lead character so much I couldn't stop listening, I cant wait for the sequel.

    Just okay....
The narration is great and the music is fantastic but the story is lacking. Nothing really happens in the whole story.

    Well written
Good read, very talented author. Interesting story and characters you can care about. My only complaint is she has not written anything further. I highly recommend this book!

    very satisfying
It seems the vampire genre is glutted at this time, and yet, Kimberly Steele has written another original story that is both original and interesting. I enjoyed it and hope she writes more..

Good Story, Not So Great Reading
Good story overall. It's not the best vampire novel I've read, but it was enjoyable. However, the reading is so dull!! Her voice just drones on and on. Other than that I highly recommend it for casual listening.

    GREAT VAMPIRE STORY
If you like vampire stories, you should try this. It varies a little bit from traditional vampires as these vampires not only drink blood, but eat part of the victim and must kill the victim. They also go out in the sun, eat regular food, but can't really taste it, and have babies. The author does a great job of reading this story. Sometimes, she pauses a little too long, making me think my iPod shut off, but, otherwise, her voice is very easy to listen to. I love the music and have bought a few songs on iTunes by Queenie, who is the author.

    Fun
If the aim of this story was to be exciting and interesting, it did it's job. Good story to listen to on a long drive or before bed.

    High marks all around
Ms. Steele's offering is a rare in treat in that it possesses great character development, an emotive and talented narration, and an interesting story. The flash backs do not intrude in the story, rather they elaborate on main theme. Her particular twist on vampirism is refreshing in its simplicity, the abscence of strange and occult workings only serves to elevate the listeners' suspension of belief and makes for an immersive tale.
