Curt Mega conducts interviews and tells his own stories with depth, passion, insight, humor, and vulnerability. It is clear that he cares a lot about stories and the need to have critical discussion about how stories are made. I fell in love from the first episode and am now eagerly awaiting the second season. Listening to this podcast not only brightens my whole day but it has also changed me and inspired me in my own creative pursuits and beyond. Curt is also a beautiful human being and a joy to listen to talk about pretty much anything. So in short, if you're not listening, you're missing out!

I've been inspired by Curt's honest passion for stories and the mediums that tell them for many years, and this podcast takes it to a whole new level. Not only does he have a excellent knack for voiceover/podcasting that engages the listener, his stories have endless nuggets of wisdom. The interviews are detailed, telling, and inspiring. I absolutely look forward to this podcast every week, and can tell he really puts his heart and soul into this. Curt, you continue to impress me! I cannot wait to see what's next for you. Thank you for reminding me every week how important it is not to get lost in the industry of this business and to always come back to why we pursued it in the first place: to tell stories.

I want to find words to express my feelings about this podcast, but I'm at a loss. As someone who is an artist of sorts and someone who loves stories, Curt and his guests' enthusiasm and passion has really moved me in a way that I can't quite describe. I love the intellegent conversations on what it means to tell stories in whatever medium you might be working with. It's inspiring and moving and, in my opinion, the most underrated podcast I listen to. Keep telling your stories Curt, the world needs to hear them.

It's honestly hard to put into words how much I love this podcast. It is perfect for anyone that loves stories/storytelling of all formats, which is probably everybody. However, Curt's solo episodes are where he gets real about his experiences as an actor and he shines as he candidly explains some of his struggles since coming to L.A. If you’re looking for something to inspire you one moment and laugh the next, look no further than this podcast! Curt and his guests are amazing to listen to, and so uplifting to hear. Curt truly has a gift for telling stories and his passion shows through in every episode! I could listen to him talk about his life and journey for hours and not get tired of it! I promise if you give an episode a listen, you will not be disappointed!

I've been listening to the postcasts, specifically the ones with the broadway performers as well as Curt's own experience auditioning for roles. I'm struck by how close the process is to technical interviews, except they don't ask you to stand and code on demand, even for babysitting jobs like sysadmin. Coding standing in front of someone is truly an audition and a very different skill than playing in an orchestra. And taking that gig that doesn't quite make you "zing" to get you ready for another gig down the road. And being curious, like Corey says--it's the essence of the sysadmin or geek mindset (Rolfers too). I've been batting around story ideas set in the Gleeverse but have no background in theater or performing, but these podcasts fill in lots of gaps, along with clients who run Children's Theater groups here in the Silicon Valley. Keep up what you're doing. The only time I hear about "where did you get that idea" is usually when an author gets that question at a SF convention. And they all hate it.

I want to start this by saying that I am so thankful for this podcast and for Curt himself! I got the chance to meet him and have a quick conversation with him in Chicago last summer during the Starkid summer season and I can honestly say he is one of the most genuine people I've ever met. For me I listen to podcasts not for the content only but for the personalities. His genuineness shines through every episode and each of the quests bring in unique qualities to the general theme of storytelling. As a performer and actor myself I enjoy this podcast so much because it speaks to my soul and hearing from successful people in the performance world in not only inspiring but also entertaining. It is easy to listen to because the content, people, sound quality, and editing is fantastic! Great podcast that a normal human being (myself) highly recommends 👍🏼

Story Matters was my introduction to podcasts, and while I've explored many others since starting to listen to it, it remains one of only two I listen to regularly. While fans of Glee will enjoy it for some of the behind-the-scenes information Curt provides, that's only a small part of the podcast. I have learned so much about Broadway, LA, and the performance industry as a whole, but in the end, it really serves as motivation for me to continue being creative every day.

As a theatre kid in the Midwest, I don't get much contact with the genre. High school was all about sports and although we had a graduating class of 300, we only had 10 drama kids...our shows were small. I remember going in freshman year and getting the bug. I started getting into musicals and plays. In southwest Kansas, you either have to go to Denver or Kansas City to see the tour shows. I still haven't gone. Story Matters allows the theatre geek to bloom more into it as I hear some amazing stories from amazing people. Thank you, Curt, for doing this. From one Midwesterner to another.

I have been following Curt and his career for six years now. (wow, has it really been that long already?) When I first heard about this new project I was a little apprehensive, I've never really been one to listen to podcasts or the radio or anything like that but as with many of Curt's projects (I'd never watched a web series before Buffering either), I've loved it. I've loved getting to know more about Curt and his backstory, I feel like I learn something new from every episode, as well as about the guests that he has on the show. Plus, Curt's voice is just generally really nice to listen to. 😄

Always been a bit iffy with podcasts but Curt always makes them interesting and enjoyable

I've been a fan of Curt Mega for many years, starting with Glee. I became a fan not because of the character that he played, but because of the intereaction and realness he had with his fans and anyone who was interested in story telling. I was overjoyed to learn about this podcast and have found myself listening to it quite a bit recently. I haven't come across another playlist, or creater in fact, who offers a truthfulness such as Curt's does. He's showing the real side of being a story teller, while still giving everyone who listens the hope to keep making. Very great concept and I'm glad I continued following Curt. Would definitely reccommend for anyone who truly appreciates the art of story telling.

This is one of my favorite podcasts ever. Curt is funny, passionate, and engaging. Listening to the podcast makes me feel connected, and is my favorite thing to do on long drives.

I listen to this podcast every Sunday or whenever Curt posts a new one! It helps me emotionally and inspires me on what I want to do in life. I want to tell my story and live my life in a story! It teaches me how the acting/singing career is as well which is what I strive to be. This podcast helps me emotionally too! Whenever I feel down or alone, listening to Curt instantly makes me smile. I think there's lots of room to grow as a podcaster but you have a really solid foundation. Take the advice of others and you will go far. I personally don't know much so I don't have much advice to give. I love the content and the guests you have on and I really think I learn something from every episode. Keep it up! Interesting and funny banter from the guests on the episodes. And also Curt has a very pleasant voice to listen to! I love Story Matters. I've followed Curt since he was Nick the warbler on Glee and everything he does just blossoms in incredible ways. He's so inspiring and sweet and never let's where he lives or what he does go to his head.
