fyork18Binge listenerI found this podcast while looking for reviews of the Fiber Fueled book and have been binge listening ever since. I love how they breakdown studies and topics, I feel like I’m learning so much. I’m also a big fan of the shorter episodes you can listen too while cooling down at the gym, and even though I haven’t tried a ‘meet yourself Saturday’ workout yet I really love the idea. I bought & read Killing Comfort too & it’s helped me a lot to reprioritize things & set goals. I’m so happy I stumbled across the pod! Thanks guys! 👊🤙

Deer hunter, with iPadGreat podcast, even better programmingI’m a former in-gym Crossfitter. Loved Crossfit, but the pandemic and my youngest daughter’s rare heart and lung disease coupled with her immunocompromised status ruled out the gym for now. So, I researched a variety of home gym programming options out there. Garage Gym Athlete (GGA) kept being the one I’d come back to and compare to all the rest. Their programming made sense to me. Periodization? Check. Variety? Check. Strength? Check. Decent cardio? Check. Good cycles? Check. Focus on healthy eating and wellness? Check. I’ve been a GGA subscriber for about a year and I’m still impressed and going strong on the “Hard to Kill” track. I liked Shred, too. Strength track is out there and will be a choice sometime in the future. The podcast? Icing on the cake. Why? They give 10 minute science-based updates and answer common questions. Their long-form pods focus on a bigger topic and a variety of opinions are shared. If you’re all about the “why” of training, these are your peeps.

Dbarry05EssentialismFor the best content and information for your fitness journey, Garage Gym Athlete is a great place to learn and grow. The podcast is a no thrills, cut to the chase what is important type of podcast.
-
FontesqAn excellent blend of art and science of fitnessThis is a fantastic podcast that helps break down fitness science into practical application for fitness. The discussions cover the gambit of nutrition, exercise movements, recovery, and the intangibles that help athletes become better.
-
JimithinggReal, honest, desiccatedThis podcast is as honest as you’ll get on the fitness front. Also, garage gym athlete programming is the best around. I highly recommend this product.
-
pawnjohn1019Excellent podcast and even better trainingLove the podcast, the training, and everything GGA! When I am actually consistent with the training, I can see drastic improvements in all areas of my fitness and body composition. Best balance of information and training that you will find out there!
-
Keith FieldsGreat podcast and trainingI started listening to Back when the betterhumanology podcast was on. The new format has me coming back each week. I enjoyed the podcast so much that I read the book and signed up for the training. All of which has truly changed my life.

Todd from KSDaily over decades attitude is greatTwo years with this work out program, I’m stronger, have more stability, and challenged. This free podcast goes on some tangents, which I expect for a free one without other sponsors (just their workout programming plug at the end). Very motivating especially when working out alone.
-
Bastogne_DogLove GGAMy go-to podcast for training. Tons of information.
-
BishnutsQuintessential Fitness PodcastThe GGA podcast is seriously the best fitness podcast out there. The way they design and program their Concurrent Training cycles is backed by science and meticulous detail...and has a specific goal to have their members achieve maximum results. The science is never stale, and the discussion/banter is always entertaining. Each and every podcast has something I can take away for my own fitness development. I can not recommend the podcast and training enough!
-
VMI2012GGA has changed my lifeYou got me hooked on the home gym focus and I’ve made my life better and saved my marriage.
-
Christie1774Love this podcast!I love how these people are so entertaining while being completely serious about physical and mental training. I’ve been a GGA for a few months. They have literally changed the way I view training and they back everything up with science. 💜 Edited to add: Happy Joe got to shave “Kip” off.
-
BieriXactly what I’ve been looking for!Yes, Xactly! 5-stars for the app, programming, and podcast. Easy to follow with a vast library to help you through your fitness journey. However, Joe's baby Bambi bearless face, 1-star. RIP, my friend. 🤙🏼
-
Stephen StineOrganized programming while at homeGreat guys (and gals) running an amazing program, talking about it on the podcast, and breaking down the science behind everything. Takes the time out of trying to figure out programming on my own, and lets you be a part of a really encouraging community from al walks of life. All in all, anxious to see Joe’s new baby face, as he has apparently shaved off Whiskers Calhoun, first of his name, House of Bushmaster 2020, Lord of Gillette Rock.
-
JSemargeGreat podcast and great programming!Best program I’ve used, and the podcast is a great companion. I’m achieving the results I had hoped for and am looking forward to many more years of great results through the program. Thanks team!
-
CoachrulesallLove itI may not agree with every opinion, but it is great content, helpful for overall physical and mental health, and comes from people who genuinely care about that for you individually. The Monday podcasts are awesome and the rest of the week has some great content like AMA’s and interviews, give a listen you won’t be disappointed!
-
ParkerWHGreat Information and ProgrammingThe podcast is fun, informational, and motivational. It is a great supplement to the GGA programming and highly recommend not only listening to the podcast but following the GGA programming to attain you fitness (and life) goals.
-
SlchampineIntelligent AthletesI really enjoy this podcast because of the discussion involving the science behind exercise. Scholarly articles are discussed by the coaches and the takeaways presented saving the listener the time of having to do the research. I heard about the Whoop strap and sleep science discussed on one episode and purchased one myself. I have created routines to improve sleep and recovery as a result of this podcast as an example. Great podcast with information I dont seem to find elsewhere.

FSUGeorge50It doesn’t get any betterIf you want to be a better overall athlete, and just better overall as a person (health, mental toughness, etc.) this is a great resource!!
-
s22330Jarred is a Genius!Awesome info based on common sense and science, not get “fit” quick foolishness.
-
cluelessklewerFantastic informationJerred and the crew do a great job giving you not only incredible programming but really good information on the science behind what they do what they do. The way they run the pod makes you fee like you are just hanging out with them talking, like you’re part of the crew. Keep up the great work!
-
Stardazle200Amazing, encouraging, hardcore results! As a trainer in the big box industry I can tell you 1st hand this is a system that exceeds the traditional training! The results or 100% true...the coaches are on par with putting every athlete 1st and no one is left in the dust. The GGA community is by far the best community I’ve ever been involved in and love every member and coach!!!!
-
JDMcNugent123Very InformativeThese guys are very thoughtful in their approach to programming and delivering "no BS" information.
-
StevePS1975Love love love it!!I love every aspect of this podcast and the mindset everyone has from mental toughness, exercise preparedness, it’s about being healthiest you can be and not about perseverating on aesthetics, evidence based fitness, health and nutrition and y’all are just pretty cool also lol!
-
jrseleyAmazing podcast and communityI have followed GGA for quite some time and thoroughly enjoy all of the content they are putting out. Awesome information and amazing programming.
-
Tugpezz“GOAT” for internet programmingI found Garage Gym Athlete from stating with “One Man One Barbell” to up my game because I hit a slump in training. I was jumping around from what I found on the internet from bodybuilding workouts to CrossFit style wods. This programming is honestly the best out there! I saw results in just 1 month of training! I love how they don’t just tell you what to do but explain why they have you do it on the podcast. I have even gone back to listen to all the “Betterhumanology” podcasts and just makes me want to be better. I am back to being excited to train. It’s awesome to know there are people out there like me who love training in their garage.
-
Brennan SavageConsistency isn't my middle nameI've been following GGA programming on a off for a few years but I continually come back. The podcast is a great supplement to the programming to get insight to upcoming cycles, recent research and entertaining discussion between the coaches. I greatly appreciate the increased frequence of podcasts this year!
-
Opie1973!Great ProgrammingI’ve been following Garage Gym Athlete for over a year. As a 46 year old firefighter it keeps me in shape to be able to do the job, also keeps me going on my days off doing the physical activities that I do. The community is great, podcast info is awesome.
-
Layne SpencerLook forward to this podcast every week!Started listening to the garage gym athlete podcast months ago and finally committed to their programming at the beginning of this year. I have not regretted it since and have started to have fun in training again! I would recommend to any one and the podcast just makes the programming that much better
-
pilotaidsEverything you need fitness and health related, all in one place! From one garage gym athlete to another current/future one, if you are NOT following this podcast or the GGA programming, you are doing disservice to yourself, the people around you, and the people you train with. GGA won’t only make you better, but by following the podcast and learning about how to be a better and healthier human, you’ll be able to affect the people around you! The podcast itself is a great source of knowledge about fitness and health and about different tools to use to achieve that stage faster and better! This is the pot-of-gold! Trust me, or even better, try it yourself... I dare you :)
-
CpribBest programming and fitness podcast around!Started using GGA a few weeks ago and what a breath of fresh air! After looking for programming for the last few months and cherry picking from crossfit gym websites, this has been exactly what i have been looking for. The podcast accompanies the programming perfectly and the coaches are super knowledgeable and helpful with any questions you may have. Thanks for being my answer to my programming problems, saving me a ton of money, and making my hour ride home filled with knowledge. Keep up the great work!
-
ScottDombroHealth and Longevity backed by researchI’ve been aware of GGA from End Of Three Fitness for about couple years now. Love the new podcast format, keep up the good work! EO3 will get you to your goal if you put in the work!
-
Greta12987Great infoLove what Jerred and Joe do with this podcast. I am a member of the GGA community but if I wasn’t I would still find a lot of value out of their podcasts. Super informed and the breaking down of studies really helps to put it in easy to understand terms.

Brdwy130Inspires Me to Get Moving!Jared and his team produce a great podcast. I always learn something new from their research into fitness and finish his podcast inspired to work out. From a technical side, his podcast has even audio levels which make it easy to listen to in a car with the baby- no need to keep adjusting the volume! Whether you are a weightlifter, CrossFitter, runner, or just like to get moving, this podcast will have something for you! Jared, thanks so much for what you do. Also, if you are a parent/ mom, check out his March 18th episode where he interviews his wife Emily. I always love hearing from other moms!

spearnreelLearning to live life at its full potential. As a stay at home parent, I have limited to no opportunity to actively participate in a outside fitness facility. Garage Gym Athlete has given me the ability to continue with not only a fitness program and training, but moreso a lifestyle program. I actually enjoy training at home and have seen greater results in a shorter period of time than while having trained both privately and group training. The Garage Gym Athlete podcast is a great tool for myself and would be for anyone that would like to tune in. Don't even have to be a subscribing member of the programming, as the podcast is created for anyone interested in becoming a better athlete, friend, spouse, parent or rather...a better human being.
-
mrhenderson509Solid info.I love this podcast and look forward to it each week. I’m not a member of the Garage Gym athlete community and I haven’t purchased any of their products. That being said, this podcast provides great information and practical takeaways that help me to be a better, more independent athlete. I love the workout ideas and appreciate the breakdown of applicable studies. Also, the common sense, sustainable approach to fitness is a great change of pace from the “every workout should give you rhabdo” mindset that seems so common elsewhere.
-
jeshuasragamuffinSo Informative!Even though I’ve been doing Jerred’s programming for a few years now, I am a latecomer to the garagegymathlete podcast. I didn't know what I was missing! I’ve been listening to season 8 and I’ve been able to learn and change bad habits I’ve developed in recovery and eating to fuel performance. Love this podcast and can’t wait until next week!
-
alexndr728Informational and entertainingJerred has a Great voice. Easy to listen to. Tons of useful information as well as entertaining. Really makes you feel like a part of a community
-
Jeremy PardeeGreat Podcast!Great podcast to listen to, even if you don’t workout in the garage. You get to hear from others that are working out, what they are doing, goals they are achieving etc. It is super motivating. Currently, Jerred and Joe are going through some topics, like dialing in your nutrition and recovering more quickly. Great guys to learn from!
-
BryLacGreat podcastJerred and Joe do a great job with awesome content backed by science. Listen and get better.
-
AdophobeDon’t be lonely in a fitness caveWorking out in a garage gym but feel like no one else it?! Then this podcast will help you meet some of the best garage gymers out there! As an added bonus, they’ll help you get better with studies and advice to maximize your training!
-
geosittaA Must Listen for Garage Gym fitnessI am so grateful for this podcast helping all of us as a greater community. The garage gym journey can be rough. It has its highs and lows. Life can sometimes get in the way. But Garage Gym Athlete always has your back with a dose of inspiration to keep you on track through thick and thin.
-
clmorse40They aren't just guessingI am a sports performance based PT and I tune into this podcast every week because I alway catch a piece of evidenced-based I end up using in the clinic that week. Their use of data, metrics and self-experiementation is awesome. I love it.

Cornel C.My favorite podcastThis review is brought to you by blueberries. I don’t even remember how I stumbled into this podcast. Right away I was hooked, I had to go back and listen to all the episodes (also found the Better Humanology podcast). Even though I’m not one of their athletes (mainly cuz I’m scared of their workouts because they sound strenuous af) I look forward to new episodes. Also, I agree with Jerred I don’t think anyone loves broccoli. We tolerate it and that’s it. Blueberries for the win. Maybe one day I’ll grow some balls and join the group and ‘enlist’ on the “hard to kill” program. Look me up at @garagegymketo on IG and listen and follow The Garage Gym Athlete
