I love Jeeyoon’s podcast “Journey through Classical Piano.” I recently stumbled upon it after viewing some of her videos on YouTube, and it is a gem. It could be one of those mundane days, but listening to Jeeyoon’s podcast transports you to another time, where you get to know a particular composer more deeply than before. Also Jeeyoon’s voice is very soothing. It is so enjoyable listening to her podcast. I hope she posts more episodes in the near future!

I love this podcast so much for the personal stories, pieces I've never heard of (e.g. Martucci's Nocturne!), Jeeyoon's gentle calming voice, and of course her beautiful pianism. I always look forward to the next episode. Also, I am beyond impressed that Jeeyoon does this in a non-native language. I deeply admire how brave and vulnerable she is to speak in English!

This podcast is such a delight. As someone who played piano for many years in my youth and generally loved classical music, I am so thankful to have found this! Jeeyoon weaves history, technical components, passion, and imagination into easily digestible, bite-sized offerings of some of the most complex and consequential classical piano masterpieces. I often listen to music and feel like there is so much more to be appreciated behind what is offered from the melody alone, and have been hoping someone would do a podcast to speak more about context, such as the composer, backstory, cultural significance, etc. I searched and let me just say, Jeeyoon delivered! Not to mention, her voice and energy is so calming and lovely. I just purchased her book on Audible. Thank you for this podcast, Jeeyoon!

I’ve only just discovered this podcast. I’ve been taking piano lessons for one year (age 39) and this has just been a joy to experience. I love learning about famous composers and how the music is arranged in this nice bite size episodes.

I discovered this podcast just 2 weeks ago, found it was so awesome I listened to all of season one, and the current episodes already. The info given about the composers brings them to life as real people, she selects biographical facts that interest her, many which I’ve never heard before despite my lifelong love for classical music. Example, “Mozart practiced piano 10000 hours by the age of 8”. She explains technical aspects of playing a piece in a manner easily understood. I also like her non-musical interests presented with her friendly calming personality. What a tremendous spokesperson for classical music!

I could listen to Jeeyoon speak and play all day. She is such a talented communicator. I wish I would have started listening sooner. Her calming presence is exactly what we need more of in this life.

Even if you are a novice or beginner to this style of music, you will be delighted with her clear explanations, transported with her fascinating stories, understand more what’s going on behind the music, and relish her wonderful performances. She presents, in a very accessible and personable way, the hidden gems from this genre of music. Listening to her soothing voice and magical playing is the perfect way to unwind and relax at the end of a tiring day. Journey Through Classical Piano podcast rocks! I would give 10 stars if I could!

I had the opportunity to have Dr. Kim as my piano teacher a few years ago for about a year. I was so inspired by how Dr. Kim was able to explain little things in classic piano to help me make sense of music-making. I have moved away for work from the city so the weekly mentoring/men-teeing discontinued. However, with access to this podcast, I am excited to reconnect again!

We are big fans of Jeeyoon Kim, and now we are big fans of this podcast! Jeeyoon Kim always aims to make classical music more accessible, and this podcast makes that even more of a reality. I love that she takes the time to really breakdown a piece - and then performs it in full so masterfully! Check this out!

I’ve been accompanying my wife to many classical music concerts, but for several years Jeeyoon Kim has been our favorite. At her concerts, in addition to bringing a beautiful artistry to her music, Jeeyoon interacts with her audience in unique and creative ways creating a really enjoyable, immersive experience. Now as supporters of her new podcast series we can feel even more connected to her music. I don’t have a formal music background, but through these podcasts I can learn much more about the story and history behind the pieces she plays. Jeeyoon keep up the good work and thanks! I am very happy to know that Jeeyoon, Classical Pianist and master teacher will be able to touch so many more lives with her podcast. I became her big fan instantly when I attended her recital because of her exquisite artistry and her amazing way to connect with her audience. Since then I haven’t missed her performances. I listen to her CD’s every day too. I am so looking forward to listening to her podcast. I signed up to become her podcast patron to support her financially so she can create more in the future.
