Kansas City: Where it’s happening in the Midwest
As a native of Missouri, I was pleasantly surprised to come upon this podcast. I grew up in Columbia, where the residents were more oriented toward the east and St. Louis than the west and Kansas City. This may have had something to do with baseball. But Kansas City has developed into what essentially is one of the capital cities of the Midwest, thereby establishing its geographic and cultural prominence. With a history as interesting as that of any city on the Atlantic or Pacific Coasts—and everywhere in between—Suzanne Hogan and Mackenzie Martin and team provide us with an engaging and entertaining format that has no shortage of topics. Great podcast. I highly recommend!

60 years a Kansas City Citizen
I am just old enough to have fuzzy memories of the riots in 1968. I was in kindergarten at Fairfax Elementary school, one of three white children in my class. We lived in Quindaro projects so there was quite a bit of activity in my neighborhood during that. Whether or not he lived in Kansas City this is the top shelf production, and sure to stimulate.

I enjoyed listening to the segments to date and look forward to future episodes. The topics provide insight to areas and individuals we otherwise might never have been exposed to as well as subjects providing a glimpse of KC’s history. Telling the untold stories
I grew up in KCK and love Kansas City in general. This podcast tells the untold stories of KC. I’m excited to just have listened to the first episode about the Wyandot National Burying Ground that I grew up seeing every time I visited the library, but knew nothing about. Hearing Lyda Conley’s story was inspiring as she took action to stand up for what she believed in, during a time where her behavior was unwelcome. Looking forward to hearing more of these important stories! -Lisa Peña, Urban Hikes KC
