#iwillfollowChristRambling and boring.I wanted to listen to Rachel’s views of psychosis but she kept whining about her mother and rambling. I was saying my head, “just get to it.” Clearly experiencing ptsd. I’ll listen to another podcast instead.

SamNash01Heartfelt and hilarious! One of the best exvangelical podcasts

1221mdsI like the show but….I like the show, but the constant use of vulgar language seems so unnecessary. You have some great guests and important topics but the show is diminished by the language and talking over your guests.

BenTheFolksingerThanks for sharingReligious indoctrination is very embarrassing - it means a ton to hear you both share so much. Thank you.

Danea MalesBeautiful work! This has been the most helpful exvangelical podcast I have heard. Thank you for focusing on healing and seeking professional opinions from a variety of folks. Cheers, y’all!

ErinK21So nice to find people who know!!Wow!! Just listened to Rachel’s story, and holy cow, could half be mine. I’m currently on a deconstruction journey I guess, first time calling it that. More than that I am working on my 25 years of chronic pain, which very much has roots in childhood trauma and indoctrination. I was SOO glad to hear Molly talk about trauma’s physical effects, as that is what I have essentially. Would love to chat about that angle sometime.

ntreezyIt’s Like Happy Hour with Your BFFsYour podcast has been amazing. As a 31 year old who grew up in the same environment with purity culture, DC Talk, raised by Keith Green loving parents, in a revivalist church (duh with the connected school). Y’all talk about things that NO ONE else in my life understands. I turn this podcast on and walk around the neighborhood cracking up out loud. THANK YOU

UFGrad2010Grateful for this showRachael and Molly are my deconstruction friends. I always feel validated when I listen to this podcast. I don’t have a physical community to drink wine with and process religious trauma… but this is pretty close. Thank you, ladies!

Deconstruction manateeFinding similar experiencesDeconstruction can be super lonely. I am thankful for people like this who share their stories.

Canterbury GrlJesus - not so greatWas just listening to one of the podcasts where you state your admiration for Jesus. Used to be my views too . I’d recommend the book The Bad Jesus by religious studies professor Hector Avalos (& former evangelical). Really opened my eyes to the huge problem of the ethics of Jesus throughout the NT accounts—treatment of his mother, advice to not plan for the future, capitalist story of the talents, weeping and gnashing of teeth dogma, his words on his setting family members against one another, not coming to bring peace but a sword, disrespect of the Syri-Phoenician woman etc. No longer a fan of Jesus. (Was indoctrinated from birth in evangelicalism, in for decades, now ten years happily and serenely out.) Thanks for your podcast.

Justin MederichNot aloneThe stories help validate all the long term trauma from church It’s great to know you’re not alone

bmc121389Very Enjoyable...But could use some tighter editing and better structure. There could be more history and context to the conversation topics. I like the raw convos, but they have vocal fry and sometimes get lost in their thoughts in a way that can drain momentum and energy. Even with that I am liking it a lot. I am still in early episodes so I hope it fully comes together.

a.vee11So healing for an ex Christian kid! This podcast is one of the best I’ve come across for just totally validating all the crazy experiences you ever had growing up in a fundamentalist/ Christian community. There can be so much existential dread, anxiety, guilt, and isolation that comes from leaving, but hearing these amazing women talk about their experiences let’s me know I wasn’t alone in experiencing what I did. These ladies are down to earth and easy to listen to. Please give this podcast a try!

LBJ1973What an honest gem of a podcastTo answer your questions, Rachel, yes, we listen! Please Continue! I love the honesty of this podcast and the real, raw talk and emotions and topics. There are so many of us out there drifting in this Deconstructionist boat, it’s refreshing to hear this. Also per the boat analogy we should just become deconstruction pirates 😂. Keep up the good pod.
