    ???
This is such a great story, but I got absolutely no resolution. Hopefully there’s a second season because I NEED to know how things get resolved.

    Meh

Too Bad They’ll Never Finish the Story
Stopped renewing my qcode paid subscription after realizing they almost never finish their best stories. Why does QCode keep starting new audio dramas never to finish the story? I’d happily pay for an ad free version again if they actually finish what they start.

    I Have A Theory
I think Listening In is like The Sopranos because both of their finales have abrupt endings; and I believe that Julia gets killed by that old lady in the final scene just like Tony Soprano is rumored to be.

    Great until the end…
This podcast was great episode 1-7. Then episode 8 starts out good, then ends without answering a lot of questions. Talk about disappointing.

    A Finale?
Not impressed with the carrot dangling at the end, called a finale. Hopefully, we get a season 2. The main character seemed to be very clueless with her interpersonal relationships, and while that may be a plot point - it’s disarming to think that’s the second basis for this story that desperately needs the bow tied off and finalization to occur.

    Huh…
There is no legitimate ending. It’s like they got bored and just gave up on the final episode or something.

Can we get a season 2?
I liked this unique, if confusing, series. However, the ending was a bit disappointing—-and can only be remedied with a new season. Bring it back, QCODE!

    Huh?
Enjoyed the series, but the ending is puzzling with lots of unanswered questions- not much of an ending.
  • Well, This is Unfortunate
    Nope
This is the first time that I’ve listened to a QCODE podcast and been disappointed. There is an inconceivable level of disrespect that Julia accepts from her husband for no reason. Imagine losing a child and then listening to your husband play house with another woman and her daughter….WHAT??? And there was no lead up to that….they literally JUST moved to New York and he has a side piece in the building before the boxes are unpacked? The affair made NO SENSE! There were so many OTHER things he could have been doing that would have been far more sinister and would have added to the plot. This series takes too long to get to the point with super short episodes.

    Started off strong
By the fourth episode I was just waiting for it to end. Not even bothered that it ended like it did. If it were a tv show, it would be great to turn on to help me fall asleep.

    Ending goes no where
The writer lost interest or drew a blank for the ending. The listener left with no point of question for us to ponder because there are to many loose ends to support discussion. If the writer states the fizzled ending was intentional, I’d state that there are better ways to explain what finishes as a curtain drawn on an abandoned stage. like: 1) the producers ran out of cash and refused to purchase the 9th and closing episode. Or, 2) key actors quit the show before the final episode was recorded. Writing new script without them was worse then just walking off and calling it a day with the 8 episode….audience may not notice. Or, 3) the climax went nowhere because the writer blew to soon and couldn’t energize creativity for completion of a reasonable finish. Or, 4) ftch..ftch..intake drag p-hoooooh…hold(1-2-3)…exhale….._____- ahhm..What was it we were talking about..?

    Meh
The protagonist is spineless and dumb. The “mystery “ is not very exciting. If the finale was meant to get one to listen to the next season, it failed. Boring and not worth the time.

Good production but the characters leave a lot to be desired
The main character kind of just fumbles her way through the show, seemingly always completely clueless of her circumstance and surroundings. The production is fine but the fact that the main character is a bumbling moron who rarely displays any emotion aside from confusion leaves alot to be desired for this podcast.

    I hope there’ll be a season two!!
This is a very well done show. I love the mystery unfolding and hope we get to hear more. Season One ends in the middle of the story. Unfortunately, I’ve noticed a trend with big stars doing these dramatic podcasts. They do a great first season and then drop it - never to return. Other than Rami Malek who DID come back and gave us a great FULL story.

    Not well planned.
Terribly written. Forced acting. Not at all compelling.
  • Ahem!
    Inquisitive
What happened at the end? Is this the end?? It says it’s the finale but it’s ending is bland. Leaving you with a huge question.

    Lots of MOUTH BREATHING
I’m brand new to the show. I’m liking it so far but there is so much mouth breathing, kissing and eating noises I don’t know if I will be able to finish. I can’t stand hearing any of that. Why do we need to hear it in surround sound? I will try and finish then update my rating as needed.
  • hellobrittany_
    The ending??
Ekkk barely suspenseful and the ending is even less satisfying.. 😳 two stars cause leaving a one star review is mean..

Wheres the rest of the story?
Way to leave your listeners hanging…

    Season 2 ?
Please tell me that there’s going to be a season 2 I love this audio drama
  • dreamweaver-71
    Conclusion?
I don’t get the final episode at all. I feel like I missed something. I don’t know what happened. Love the audio/voices , acting/ sound effects , music as well as the beginning and middle of story
  • vyky4
    Dull
Plot takes too long and by the time it gets minimally interesting, it’s over. I stuck around with hope because I’m a big supporter of Rachel B, but I won’t be coming back for season 2 if they continue it.
  • linzjanae
    Good overall
I liked this podcast but the time spent on ads before and during was annoying. The three minutes worth of reading the credits at the end of every episode was also something I’d never heard in a podcast before and hope I never hear again. Also the ending sucked.

    Good concept falls flat
The concept was intriguing and hooked me in, but then it just became a pretty predictable series of events with bad dialogue. In the end they are clearly setting up events for a second season, but the interesting element to this story was already exposed. Without wondering “what’s going on with fake Alexa?” there isn’t much here. I won’t be back for season 2

    Good Story
I liked the storyline. The idea of listening to conversations without risk of being discovered is very tempting so I think the concept of the story was good. The acting and sound effects were also good. I didn’t give it five stars because as I understood it, it showed there are nine episodes but actually only eight. At the end of the 8th one there was nothing to say “to be continued” or “wait for season two”. It wasn’t a cliffhanger, it just stopped. I was like “whaaaat?” So how and when does it end?
  • Kaissjsidn
    Good Story
It kept me interested. Hard to keep up a little at the beginning bc of just not knowing what’s going on. But def ready for season two!

    Very Boring for QCODE
This show is super boring for QCODE. I quit after 6 episodes because the plot just wasn't going anywhere. Whoever wrote this needs to learn how to spice things up because this is just flat. Also, half of each episode was intro, ads, and credits. Was it really worth the time and budget?
  • mjj8385
    Good story
Interesting story, episodes go by fast. Good production. Fairly standard mystery. Downside is a significant amount of time is spent on commercials, credits etc.
  • A468:72
    Interesting characters
I really liked it, and wish that the episodes were a little longer. Interested to see what happens next.
  • Ladygem79
    Ummmm…
The only character with dimension was the old lady next door. The main character talked too much and the story was extremely predictable. I was very hard to imagine the events unfolding around you. Hopefully, next season will be better.

    Didn’t grab me
As someone who listens to a lot of audio dramas, including several QCODE shows, this one just failed to grab my attention. I gave up during episode two. Maybe this one was simply not to my taste, but I think it was probably just boring.

    Boring
boring and unoriginal. if you want and interesting podcast with good delivery i recommend limetown, the silt verses, the magnus archives, and the penumbra podcast. this isn’t worth your time AT ALL.

    Omg
Omg you guys can’t leaves us like this. I hope we have another season.it was good
  • bdhehvevd
    Ugh
The voice acting, sounds, and story story were good, but who wrote the end? Did you run out of time or budget?
  • Rayatona
    So confused…
Wait…was that the ending??? Is there another season? I like it, and I feel like there is a lot more that could happen? Maybe it will? I hope so!
  • Kay0825
    Disappointed
Agree with almost every review. Ended terribly

    Can’t wait for season 2
Season 1 ends with a bit of a cliffhanger. Excited for the next season.
  • mitzi4vols
    The ending was terrible!
It started great but it was just getting good when you ended it. Very frustrating!
  • PandaRoyalty
    Didn’t like the ending
I found the ending unsatisfactory. In fact i thought there had to be another episode as a finale, and kept looking for it. Strange way to end a series
  • amanduh_jean
    Poorly ended
I can see if you’re leaving things open for another season but that ending was very disappointing and left me feeling like the story was just really getting started:(
  • Fronzel Neekburm
Disappointed, not up to Q Code’s usual quality.
Maybe they could have had the budget for a real last episode if they cut out that nonsensical couple that was supposedly spying on the main character but just ended up having sex every time she was listening in. And without the circular first few episodes which just keep going over the same fight. It’s fine to end on a cliffhanger, but you need to tell a full story. This one just kind of… ends. Even at 20 minutes an episode with 2 full minutes of intro and 2 full minutes of credits this is not with your time.
  • Neens_21
    Meh.
Great premise, poor delivery. I loved the main voice actress which is the only reason I didn’t give this show 2 stars. Worst QCode production yet bar none.
  • ashlynebo
    Boring
Honestly, the show started with a good concept and could have been made really interesting, but the plot was very unoriginal, the ending was absolutely terrible and lacked any completion, and a lot of the voices were genuinely annoying to listen to, the accents were so forced.
  • Jess1978!!!!
    Terrible ending
Did they go over budget, did they forget to add the last episode? Something isn’t right. That couldn’t have been the ending.
  • DonSavant

Loved this! The character development is great, it should be a TV show. So suspenseful, dying to know what happens next!

    Listening In
    Very disappointed with the ending.
  • Tonatale
    It’s over?
I forgot I listened to this show and just came back to see if there’s another episode. Apparently the show is over. I honestly think the people making it got tired of how boring it was turning out and just stopped. No cliffhanger or any attempt to really propel this forward. Almost every other QCode show is better than this one
  • lga dfh
    Uninspiring
It started out interesting and then turned for the worse halfway through. None of the main character’s actions made sense and she came off as a total idiot in the end. Oh well.
  • natyvee
    Trash
Started off with a lot of potential but ended in a flop. So disappointed.
