I purchased a subscription to The Binge for Chameleon. This show is supposed to have 12 episodes and only 1 is available. Huh???

Very good. Couldn’t stop listening

I can’t stand the stupid main song. It’s a good professional, well produced, intellectual podcast and then you have a ghetto song on it!

Could not put down this podcast, very interesting from start to finish. I hope they make this into a movie or tv series and have some of the con-queen’s victims work on the movie.

The podcast is well-done and, as promised, binge-worthy, but towards the end I began feeling bad for the con queen, someone who clearly suffers from serious mental health problems. I felt the hosts took too many low-blow shots, began basically taunting the con queen and making fun of them. Yes, con queen did terrible things to people, but I don’t think they are well and I also doing think it’s entertaining to make fun of people and broadcast their mental health struggles.

Idk how there aren’t all 5 star reviews! This show was addicting, I listened to all episodes in a few days. Very well researched, edited, everything was thoroughly thought through, and was highly interesting! Wish I could listen all over again as a first time listener

Unique stories with great detail that keep you entertained! We’ve listened to 3 seasons now and have enjoyed them all. Makes long drives way better.

The give you the first episode for free but then if you want to hear the others you have to pay - should have told you that upfront so you don’t waste your time!

I also subscribed just to hear the next episode. Story drew me in not only due to the awful, disturbed, brilliant protagonist but also due to the writing, interviews and narrator’s voice. Will watch for anything else this team does!

Wasnt this released last summer? ( it was). Why is it being released again as a “ new season?” Good grief, produce a new podcast with all new material!!

Paid for The Binge bc I needed the next ep! I’m hooked !

Wow so they put all but ONE episode behind a total paywall! There isn’t even an option to listen to ad-supported episodes for free anymore. Forcing listeners to pay, without giving the option to hear the episodes for free with ads is just being greedy.

This is my second time trying to listen to this podcast… I’ve been listening for 14 min but it legitimately feels like I’ve been listening for 45 minutes. It truly just draaagggggss… I’ll keep trying to listen and get to the good stuff, as I’m assuming it gets better. If it does, I’ll update my review. But there’s no way it could be a full 5 stars with such a terrible first episode..

Genuine investigative journalism. Excellent interviewees. But they miss the mark on how they present the content imo. So much fluff. And there were quite a few things that made me cringe. Like, what was the point of including every single time Heather mentions the R-word? And then warn us Gobind is about to swear? Also they sometimes sounded condescending when providing context for what an interviewee was saying, especially with non-native English speakers: “Well that didn’t make sense at all, so let me tell you what they were trying to say”. Reporting could have been a lot more thoughtful and intentional.

This was the craziest CON that I’ve heard. It’s amazing that so many would “fall for the Con”. If I could give 10 stars ⭐️ I would. The whole story is hard to believe that so many would fall for it. If you are looking for a good BINGE, here it is.

There’s a good story here if the narrators would actually tell it, but there is so much padding. We get to the 20-minute mark of first episode before they stop telling us how AMAZING AND INTERESTING AND SHOCKING the story is and start telling us the actual story! The Campfire media intro is clearly trying to sound like radiolab, but radiolab is edited super tightly while this is really flabby. (Radiolab would cover this whole season in 90 minutes at most.) Anyway, it’s not bad if you’re prepared to listen on 1.5x speed and fast forward through the first parts of episodes.

Apparently, no one associated with the pod cast reads the comments of they would have added the missing Episode 2. I honestly can’t comprehend that they don’t know. I find it all odd. I really enjoyed Episode 1 but won’t continue to listen until Ep. 2 is added and I’m also not holding my breath.

What happened to episode 2?

Intriguing podcast. Where is episode 2? Please include it in series, to make better sense while moving forward.

I’m always looking for an interesting story & this one brings you from beginning to end… with a grand finale! Definitely a recommended podcast!

I love one story told over multi chapters & this podcast did not disappoint. I especially liked Josh as the story teller, I will search more from him when I’m done with all 4 seasons of chameleon.

Love the content, but feeling frustrated my place isn’t saved once I pause the show or display which episodes have been played. It makes it hard to follow the twists and turnsZ If there is a fix for this please let me know.

The Hollywood Con Queen season starts off by going for all the lowest hanging fruit tropes of “Hollywood.” Omg they have assistants who manage their calendar! Ong Margo Robbie might have sat in this chair! But the conference room is so big they could be inviting all the assistants in! Hollywood is so cRaZy you guys and I’m just a down to earth reporter! Are you in any way journalists? If so why would you engage in the same tropes of Hollywood and mythologizing as Who Framed Roger Rabbit? I actually write about and work on low wage labor issues in the film industry and engaging in this kind of facile, cutesy Marxism as window dressing for a show that presumably is also going to exploit low wage workers for a profit is a hack move. Yes, executives have someone else manage their calendars and I’m pretty sure you know this from covering other important people but ooh this time it’s “Hollywood” people so I get to pretend I don’t see this everyday elsewhere. Focus on the good you purport to be doing in this season which could include substantively engaging with pay equity or exploitative labor situations (I doubt you will). Bother to learn about those assistants that you purport to care about, do some actual reporting on their issues if you really care and it’s not just the backdrop you need for the media you are producing, and then the audience can decide based on that if you are better or more equitable than Jr Roven executives or whoever you met with. Bc what you’re actually doing is just tourism and it doesn’t make you seem virtuous or a hard-nosed reporter of fact in comparison. It just sounds like narrativization and imposing meaning for the sake of “story” which is what reality tv ppl do. I hope an assistant or equivalent isn’t tasked with monitoring your Apple reviews because they could be in the room with you right now joining the conversation.

Binging all their other seasons after this one. Great reporting and the structure of the storyline is so suspenseful
