Simpsons Episode By Episode

The Simpsons - since its first episode way back in 1989, it's entertained millions, maybe even billions around the world. It's more than just a show, it's almost a way of life. Hardcore fans, like hosts Nick Konarowski and Shane Lynch, know all the episodes, lines and characters. But is it really as good as we remember it? Or is the powerful drug of nostalgia washing over us, making it seem better than it was? Nick and Shane aim to find out, by going back to the beginning. They start with a rating based on memories and following a real-time watch-through, they discuss if it was better or worse than they recall. Plus, they talk about a bunch of other stuff in life @simpsons_EBE New Episodes Every FRIDAY! Donate> https://www.buymeacoffee.com/simpsonsEBE

    Not terrible, nor good
This podcast is better than some things out there. But it is not very good either. This podcast is just not exciting enough! The hosts always agree about everything! I wish they would actually debate over logical reasons or explanations for things that happened in episodes. It’s also pretty unprofessional compared to other shows. There is background sound! In one episode I can hear a fan or something running and something is frequently clicking in the background! I advise you to look into these podcasts if you are a Simpsons fan like me! -The Simpsons Show -Talking Simpsons -The Simpsons Watch Along Show

Thump Thump Thump Clack Clack Clack
Unprofessional beyond belief. More than half of the episodes are filled with noises of their dogs nails clacking on the floor or the thumping of their tails amplifed up to 11 into the audiences ears. It's almost as bad as podcast hosts who don't put a new battery in their smoke alarm for weeks on end. Absolutely unlistenable. On top of that, the two hosts ALWAYS have to agree with each other and never have any sort of interesting discussion. They believe that because they were not raised with things like musical theatre, that no one else was either. It's incredibly hilarious listening to them trash art that they just don't get while giving praise to things revolving around sports. (Also they paid for bot reviews, which is hysterical)

    Love it
These guys are amazing and on point, I love listening to the commentary on all my Simpsons dvds and I can’t find them anywhere else, however, this show is really good and reminds me of the actual commentary. They are funny and full of knowledge.

    Everything is a 2.5
This podcast is incredibly bad in every way. Their reviews are based solely on whether there were enough "gags" for them. They completely lambast any thought-provoking episode that bring up any type of emotion such as depression, sadness or introspective nature as boring. Just because they may have been sheltered and shown more surface level banality when they are younger, they blame The Simpsons for entertaining people with real life situations that were all incredibly lifted up as wonderful episodes. The hosts of this podcast continuously get sidetracked with off topic discussions, which is usually good podcasting, but for a show in which the entire reason for being is watching the episode, they get too engrossed with outside conversations, miss half the episodes and then blame the show afterwards as if it's The Simpsons' fault that their attention spans are so minimal. I wouldn't recommend this show to anybody.

    Constantly Missing the Mark
"If it's not funny, that means it's not good." Ooooookay. Nuance, character development, drama, and heart mean nothing, I suppose. As they watch the episodes, it truly does feel like I'm back in my parents house, hanging out with my brothers watching TV - and I do like that.. But at the same time, I feel like I'm listening to the greatest hits of Wikipedia, as the boys throw out facts that we've heard a trillion times. I was hoping for more of a discussion, but this is as bland as you can get. Ah well, I tried. I'll give it til the end of Season 2 and if it gets any better I'll revisit this.
