akennyjOne of the bestI learn so very, very much from Jason. He is articulate and explains things so very well. He also covers a variety of timely and pertinent financial topics. And last, but certainly not least, I like the corny jokes and the Scripture verse at the beginning of the podcast. Some may not appreciate the verse, I understand, but one can also easily forward the podcast if desire. I have also met Jason in person and he is simply a wonderful, considerate, and caring family man that desires to serve with integrity his clients well. My experience with Jason indicates he does that and very well.

JaxsonmomIt’s okay, but not for meI don’t like the political misinformation. Another Trump supporter that call himself a Christian.

NEERDY NUMBERS GUYSound retirement radioGreat show. Just the right mix of the nerdy numbers side of retirement along some of the touchy/feely issues.

DS, Verona NJSpare me the political commentary pleaseSome good content here but he can resist sharing his political opinion.

christhepacerfanGreat Retirement Subjects and GuestsI have listened to Jason Parker for 3+ years and have read his book. The content is thorough and has been a terrific resource for me. I listen to most of the retirement planning podcasts and this is a top 3. Thanks!

mr_gunsSound Advice Which is Easy to FollowI love the Sound Retirement Planning podcast. The podcast covers a wide variety of topics for retirement planning. I have the book written by Jason too and love it. He also has a financial calculator that can used for free, or for more advanced features there is a paid version (which I have). By listening to his advice I was confident enough with my finances to retire early. Highly recommned this podcast.
-
Sarita7981Good podcastI have been listeningTo this podcast for several years now and I really enjoyed the insights and the topics. Keep it going.

Truth for todayNo buenoThis podcast is more of a self publicity stunt than a place that seeks to help empower low-cost investing.

JSA0621Highly recommended Retirement Calculator.I’ve been using the Retirement Budget Calculator for a while now and find it a tremendous asset in planning and implementing your retirement. Totally customizable with multiple life scenarios. Great community to help with any questions.

MC RelaxingGreat Retirement GuidanceI worked with several different retirement planners over the course of 20 years before I got involved with Jason Parker. I wasn’t dissatisfied with the other retirement planners, but something was missing, I lacked clarity in understanding how it all comes together to reach retirement and then manage my resources so they don’t run out. That lack of clarity all changed when I started working with Jason. He analyzed my situation, taught me new skills, showed me the path to retirement, and did it in a way that gave me great confidence that I will succeed in my retirement journey. It’s been four years working with Jason, I retired in 2021, and all is working out per our plan. I’m very satisfied! Jason and his team at Parker Financial are a pleasure to work with, all kind, caring, responsive, and focused on serving the needs of their clients. Jason’s podcast are good. They provide nuggets of insightful information that when followed over the course of time will expand your understanding of retirement planning and money management. I enjoy tuning in and listening to the podcasts, but the real magic comes when working with Jason. He is an awesome financial planner, money manager, and guidance counselor to reach your retirement goals. If you too are lacking clarity on how it all comes together, Jason and his team at Parker Financial have answers. I think they are one of the best and I’m thankful to have them on my team.

Skippy & BuffyI agree with everything Jason says. Really!I've been listening to Sound Retirement Planning podcasts for many years and have found Jason to be wise, insightful and competent. I'm a DIY investor, but I've left instructions for my wife, Buffy, to reach out to Jason after my death and hire him to manage our portfolio. I would trust Jason implicitly with our affairs and would work with him right now, except it's my hobby.

MkduffyEpisode 359Extremely disappointed with your interview of Prof. Kotlikoff. He came off as pompous and arrogant with respect to his view of financial planners. He made incorrect statements about the way they ask people how much they want to spend. I have never met a reputable planner who did not start off by asking what my actual expenses were and what I projected them to be in retirement. He Made it sound as if the economist way of thinking was novel. It is basic common financial sense. I was also disappointed that you did not call him on his misstatements and over generalizations.

123{#%Jason is great!!Jason is very refreshing. His advice is very sound and logical. He has a knack to be able to explain the most complex of concepts in an Easy to Understand way. His retirement calculator that he has crafted, (and continues to develop) (retirementbudgetcalculator.com) is nothing short of remarkable. What is markedly different from all calculators, budgets, spreadsheets, I have used is that it is not devised to promote products. Jasons calculator is very mature, constantly evolving, and most importantly is built to benefit the user, rather than promote some other service or delivery mechanism. This also gives you access to his private group who exchange ideas with Jason on all sorts of financial topics. Bottom Line, Jason is remarkable, and worth listening to.
-
Jimmy in AZOne of my top podcastsI’m 55 and trying to get as much insight as possible ahead of retirement. I found this podcast and it is quite good compared to some of the others I have been listening to. I’ve actually been getting some good, new information to add to my notebook and I haven’t heard anything worth adding from other podcasts for months now. You won’t be disappointed.
-
Mike2375422Too much of a pitch for his Retirement Budget CalculatorThis podcast is a mixed bag. Some good episodes, but some too basic. I believe that the podcast has improved since Jason received a one star review from a listener because the topics have become more technical and less general since then. The worst part of the podcast is Jason continually pitching his retirement budget calculator.
-
dboomer1987Insightful & kindI have tried a lot of financial podcasts... this one is unique in its quality of content, insights & solutions to real life issues all based on a Biblical foundation. Thank you
-
HereToLearnCompletely Excellent! After listening to the podcast for a couple years, we attended a free webinar Jason held and signed up for his free one on one sessions. Jason answered ALL our many questions and spent several hours with us going over social security, life expectancy, legacy, goals, Roth conversions, long term care, asset allocation, and what if one of us died early. He didn’t charge us a penny. Jason knows how to listen. We feel much more confident in our plan and saying that during this pandemic is saying a lot. Completely impressed and appreciative of Jason, his staff and the podcast. Thank you! Love this podcast and have learned much.

D AbdEducational and informativeRetirement topics addressed in plain English for easy digestion!!!

Mike (retired at 60)Love the showAfter the 2 May show and the discussion about the 1 star review, I wanted to show my support for the podcast as being spot-on in delivering what it sets out to do. No pod cast is going to replace detailed analysis and planning. I may not like the million other podcasts on subjects A-Z out there, but I don’t go trashing them, and neither should anyone else. Live and let live, even if it isn’t your cup of tea. Your rebuttal was great- but let it go. I started listening a couple years ago when I was planning on retiring, and since I pulled the ripcord this past January, I still listen to you on my daily walks. Keep up the great show
-
no fiatGood but basicDon’t want to leave a negative rating which would be unfair. Info is shared in a positive fair manner and will have value for many. I would have to agree that the level of info imparted is for basic to average experience investors. To me it serves as more of a primer for those who will hire/ need a financial advisor. Again, in that context the podcast certainly has value. I would compliment that the show does not preach the all to common one size financial plan fits all.
-
K2TFVery nice podcast!I enjoy Jason’s and Emilias Podcast. It’s nice to listening to a podcast that’s clean and from a Christian perspective. His guests have been very sound qualified people. I highly recommend giving his podcast a listen.
-
logoslogoslogosOne of my "go-to" podcastsI find this podcast to be a help to me as a "near" retiree. It's all about cash flow! I appreciate Jason, his team and his podcast.
-
Mark from TennesseeGreat perspective!I have enjoyed listening for over a year and haven’t missed one podcast. Jason’s tone and his attitude of serving us who are near or in retirement are refreshing. He asks the important questions and discusses many different approaches that I hadn’t thought about before.
-
hagalciousHighly recommend!I always look forward to hearing this podcast weekly. Some weeks I listen more than once to an episode and sometimes I already know the content and skip through it. Jason comes at the subject from a variety of levels.
-
dhatchmanGreat podcastI am 55years old and contemplating early retirement. This podcast has given me ideas that I would have never thought of. Example: lowering adjusted gross income by withdrawing from Roth thereby lowering insurance premiums. As a Christian, I find this a refreshing clean podcast with helpful ideas. Thanks Jason for what you do.
-
David 1466Simply The BestJason puts all the pieces together for you. He is the perfect example of the eighty twenty rule in action. If you listen to Sound Retirement Planning, you will greatly enhance your financial knowledge base and gain a deeper understanding into what you need to do to achieve financial independence.Jason is a very decent person too.
-
RidgewizPersonal timeJason offered a FREE opportunity to review details of current finances and what those will look like going into retirement on a recent podcast. I contacted his company and requested this FREE review. He followed through with this offer and I'm not even a customer of his! He spent a whole hour online via Zoom with me going over my finances and retirement plans with a fine tooth comb. I throughly enjoyed the time Jason spent with me. I learned some things about retirement planning. Jason doesn't use this FREE offer just as an opportunity to push his services. His podcast are also valuable and uplifting. I highly recommend.
-
Senator7Solid Information and orientationI greatly enjoy and appreciate Jason and Emilia’s podcast series and the Retirement Budget Calculator is my favorite planning tool. I recently learned thru his appearance on another podcast that some reviews have been negative because Jason has the courage and conviction to share his faith - which happens to coincide with my own - and some listeners may be offended by that. To this, I submit that the verse he reads at the outset of each episode (right before Emilia’s can’t-miss Dad joke) is always encouraging to me and that even if I were a non-believer, I suspect I’d have greater confidence in someone who openly confesses his faith before offering up advice. Keep up the good work, Jason and Emilia.
-
TwoDogRanchColoradoPitchingNothing more than a pitch for his financial planning

friend of podcastComprehensive coverage of retirement topicsI’ve been listening to Jason for a few months now and he explains topics relating to retirement in a clear and concise manner. He is one of my go to podcasts for financial education.
