    Podcast that teach forever lessons.
I loved the 2 episodes I have heard and I am coming back for more. Need this memory recollection mentioned here to become a court interpreter. The speaker here (not Lucas) got back in touch with me when I reached him in YouTube to get me started on how to follow these methods to become my calling.

Anthony taught me to do what I could not do on my own.
Anthony taught me to do what I could not do on my own— memorize a group of prayers that were/ are important to me. I have learned to surrender to the wisdom of the masters and just do what they say. After listening and studying for a year, I believe Anthony is a master. His topics are varied and fascinating, he does not use foul language, he is hip, upbeat, scholarly, extremely down to earth and speaks lovingly of his wife. He offers a free class to get you started and you stand to learn a lot from it. You will have to do the necessary work, but for me it was worth it. And the side effects are amazing, since the techniques can be used to study language, music, anything you want. I’m learning to read biblical Hebrew and music, drawing again, running again, and meditating more. So if you love a good rabbit hole, jump on in.

Wonderful to hear the ONE person that truly knows memory
All the others are marketing first and memory second. This dude is DEEP on memory and the history. Learned more in 3 shows than every other product I purchased.

    WHAT. A. WASTE.
Donald Trump WISHES he could be as full of hot air and blather on like this guy. I'd feel sorry for him if I weren't so embarrassed for him. I can't imagine the fan mail that he reads at the start of many episodes is written by actual people. After he's finished congratulated himself at the audience to his liking, the second half of the episode is spent heading him talk about how the topic of that specific show is Hong to be something he's going to talk about, and why. And how why is key in knowing what the topic's how come into why he's going to explain when to use the topic in today's topic. He should have an incel podcast.

    Helpful encouragement and useful advice
Just listened to another great episode, How to Learn a New Language Fast. Dr. Metivier gives advice that no one else bothers to tell you - and this includes your language teacher. Simply keeping a notebook of your own words and phrases that are important to you makes you more interesting to your listener and keeps up your own momentum in language acquisition much better than the endless rote drilling of verb conjugations (which are also important and necessary, but rarely exciting). Learning a new language does require a lot of memorization and practicing out loud (by yourself), so any time you can add elements that personalize it will make it more enjoyable. This is one of my favorite podcasts. Dr. Metivier is creatie and thoughtful, and he generously shares his great ideas with the rest of us. Thank you.

    A Commercial
The episode we titled “5 Memorization Techniques that Help You Learn Faster”. Thirty three minutes into it and I did not hear him explain a single one. At one point, he even decries click bait. I surmised that he is fond of making promises but not delivering.

The World’s Most Prolific Memory Expert
Dr. Metivier is, in my opinion, the most prolific teacher in the memory field. I’ve paid thousands of dollars for over-hyped promises that seldom deliver. Their training is usually regurgitated, antiquated training stuffed into a shiny new box. Dr. Metivier’s training and private student group is worth 100 times what he charges. As a disabled veteran returning to college after 20 years, I was overwhelmed with the amount of information and how it was delivered. After a few months of taking Dr. Metivier’s training, I went from being overwhelmed to being one of the top students in all of my courses. I can’t thank him enough, he’s the real deal!

Direct, No-Nonsense Useful and Immediately applicable Memory topics are found here
I have been practicing the Magnetic Memory Method for a couple of years now. There is not enough room here to decribe how dramatically my memory has improved using these techniques. One example is that I can memorize a deck of 52 cards now, previosly I couldn't go to the grocery store to buy 5 things without a written list. Dr. Metivier is a master of the Art of Memory and he wants to share with you all that he has learned. He holds nothing back and shares in these Podcasts exactly what needs to be done to improve your memory. You will learn here things for free that others would charge a fortune to tell you, that is if they would ever tell you. Dr. Metivier is a true scholar and truly cares about teaching and sharing the trained memory tradion with anyone who listen and try it. In these POD casts you will find a virtual university of impactful useful information that you can immediately implemented to improve your life. Dr. Metivier's Podcasts are useful to beginners and experts alike. Don't just take my word for it. Listen to one episode and you will likely determine that there is true value here, which is a rare commodity in this world.

    I'm completely inspired
I've been reading and listening to Anthony Metivier for over two weeks now. Last week I successfully drew and drilled my first memory palace, testing myself on the memorization of a poem. It went really, really well. For two weeks before that, I had experimented with memorizing a different poem using spaced repetition with no memory palace. The two poems were similar in length and style. It took me three weeks the memorize the entire poem using the spaced memorization technique. It took me three days to memorize using Metivier's method of location, imagery, and action in a memory palace. I love to learn. Until just a couple months ago, I never put in real time to learning how to learn. I knew about mnemonics, repetition, kinesthetics and other tactics, but I used them in an unsystematic way. When I was a young person, I could get away with a haphazard approach. After I turned 30, I began to feel the friction of age slowing me down. After I became a dad to a very energetic kid, all bets were off. All of my learning resources were gobbled up by learning how to be a parent, with a little left over for the learning necessary to keep my career bobbing along. A deep frustration set in. It was so deep I could not see it for what it was. I hopped and skipped from topic to topic, hoping that the next one would "just catch". I hatched plans to sell my employer on sending me to grad school, but I had no clear academic plan, and I could not subdue the nagging suspicion that this would be a bad investment of time and money. I simply missed learning, and I did not see that until early January 2019. I saw an ad for Barbara Oakley's Coursera mooc Learning how to Learn, which was wonderful. I read Peak by Anders Ericsson. I found Faster to Master, and from there I found Anthony Metivier. From Anthony, I found Benny the Irish Polyglot and Richard Wiseman's 59 Seconds. And I have been soaking it all up like a pig in cool mud. I'm using techniques from all these wise folks to learn, and truly remember, an array of subjects from statistics to scotch whisky, from project management techniques to Portuguese, from American indigenous cultures to art crime. And I'm very happy about it.

    Great for boosting memory
As a person whose suffered from poor memory most of his life, the information given is easy to digest and keeps me interested in listening. Anthony is well spoken and I am very excited to use his techniques on my language learning journey.

    I already modified my approach
I had trouble learning the Korean, Syriac, and Ethiopic alphabets recently so I went on a search to find memory techniques to enhance my skillet. I used memory techniques to graduate from law school and pass the California, New York, New Jersey, and Hawaii bar exams. I have already learned 38 foreign languages to various levels of fluency. I’m just giving you a little of my background to let you know that I am not new to accelerated learning techniques. I have now finished the Magnetic Memory Udemy course and listened to the several of these podcasts and have already found several different techniques to change my approach. I really enjoyed the Stoic lecture and realize that less is more, the Time management technique to record my conversation in English and then find a partner to practice in the target language and that 10 year old, who used her commute or what she can’t forget to link what she wanted to remember from Shakespeare’s plays to pi. I highly recommend everyone to listen to his incredible podcasts

    Good podcast for super learners!
I both like and dislike how edited the podcasts are; with no breaths between thoughts on the recordings, it gives little time to absorb what’s being discussed. Apart from that, great podcast! Thanks Mr. Metivier!

    Magnetic Memory Method
Really interesting podcast! Amazing parent who experiments/challenges her daughter of 10 year old to read a memory book. The daughter, Alicia, describes how using the memory palace technique was able to learn the 37 Shakespeare’s plays. Simple put, the information is correlated with a visual image, or a short story. This makes the information easier to stick to your memory. Alice suggests that people should use hilarious images correlated to the information that needs to be memorized.

    Memory Exercises
As a professional who works with the ADHD population, I know the impact poor memory can have on your life. I’ll be recommending this show to my clients. Anthony presents methods he’s researched and uses himself. He’s also easy on the ears.

    Very interesting and informative
I've always been like an elephant. Or so they say. But this podcast had a lot of information I hadn't thought of that has come I handy as my great memory trait has started to slip.

Broad approach to memory & Good tips
I enjoyed the podcast some good tips for studying boring topics: 1, Regiment is definitely helpful / I used study groups just to actively share and work out the harder topics. 2, Not getting bogged down by mistakes, yesterday listening to the podcast We Study Billionares their guest had a great Berkshire Hathaway insight, at their annual investor meeting, they start each one with Warren Buffet by Announcing a mistake the company made, to prove they were aware, not embarrassed and were actually addressing the issue. 3, I love boring people with new information, it kinda A/B tests which ideas or studies are interesting and you can learn what is generally useful from that info.

Indispensable for a Life of Learning
I am currently a grad student working on two master's degrees. I say that so you're aware of the amount of learning and memorization on my plate. This podcast has opened my eyes (and mind) to the world of memory. Not only has it helped me as a learner but also as a youth pastor, mental health counselor, and all around human being. I wholeheartedly recommend this podcast!

    Wonderful
I've been listening to these podcasts for the past month and it has greatly improved my quality of life. Last night I was reciting phone numbers to my wife the before bed and this morning I was memorizing poetry in Chinese. Thanks Anthony for sharing these. They've been a big help.

    Quite ‘Memorable'
This episode on the Magnetic Memory Method is quite informative. We all need tools to assist us with memory for the big things and even what we consider ‘small’. The use of flash cards is something I practice when I have those big presentations. Writing on pages is also quite effective. The more we write the more it gets stuck in our memory. Keep going Anthony.

    Remember Names at Events
I enjoyed listening to this podcast, the first I've heard by Anthony Metivier. He offers many techniques to try, some which I hadn't heard about before. He did use some technical terms that I didn't know the meaning of, which he may have defined in earlier podcasts in this series so perhaps it would be better to start from the beginning. I am looking forward to trying these techniques out!

    Interview with Alicia
Excellent interview on building a Memory Palace. I enjoyed the exchanges between Alicia and her Dad as it demonstrated that there can and should be flexibiliy on how one builds a Memory Palace. She is also a very smart person.

Insights to Remember before Starting Over
This information is very useful, particularly when looking how to start over. Life provides a lot of opportunities to take this to the test.

    Life changing
I am not a person who leaves reviews. Whether Yelp, Amazon, or iTunes, I've never done it! However, I have benefited enormously from the reviews others have left, and wanted to take a minute to pay it forward, not only to future listeners, but also to the man behind this podcast. This is the only podcast I have listened to every episode, from beginning to end, AT LEAST twice. Anthony's smooth voice and original bass riffs have kept me company during long hours at work. I feel as though I've gotten the equivalent of a master's degree education in the Art of Memory from my hundreds of hours of listening. I can't thank him enough for his hard work producing highest quality resources for learning about mnemonics that are out there, not to mention his refreshingly candid and intimate relationship he offers his audience. Not only will you learn all you need to know about memory techinques, you will get to join Anthony in his wonderful musings about the deeper aspects of what it is to be human. Anthony is not afraid to go deep and has great interviews with amazing guests that will inspire you to think about things in a way you might never have before. Thank you Anthony - I'm a fan for life! Much love.

    Very Enthusiastic About Memory
This podcast is well produced and entertaining. Anthony is clearly passionate about all aspects of memory. You can hear it in his voice. In his language memorization course on Udemy, his tempo is much slower, but luckily, you can listen at 1.5x speed and absorb the info quickly. But in this podcast, his pace is much quicker and his excitement is apparent. Also, I find the conversations he has with guests to be full of intelligent questions and interesting answers. I would recommend this podcast to anyone interested in structuring their thinking process, especially newcomers to the idea of memory techniques.

Great Resource on Memory & My Favorite Podcast!
Anthony does an Awesome job with his podcast! He has a wealth of knowledge about memory and memory palaces. He has also had on some great guest! Overall he is just a very interesting and fun person to listen to! This is my favorite podcast! I want to learn as much as I can from Anthony, so I plan on joining his Masterclass program very soon! He really cares about his students and wants them to learn his methods about memory. I have emailed Anthony a few times. He has always responded and has been very helpful. I hope that Anthony continues his podcast for many years to come!

If a child can do it, what's my excuse?
so what's my excuse? I obviously don't have one. What this does is give me is hope for myself, because if an 8 year old can do it...well.... and there a lot of things i would like to memorize, for work, and other things I would like to commit to memory. Like most people, I had never heard of memory palaces until having seen the tv show Sherlock Holmes. Now that I found a place to learn to do ti myself, I only have one question....Is Anthony Metivier Sherlock Holmes' teacher?!!

    Alzheimer's and Memory
Just listened to this podcast and was grateful that Anthony turned me on to the Fisher Center and their magazine Preserving Your Memory. I'm happy to have found this podcast - I know that I'll be listening to more because the titles of many episodes look promising and Anthony's presentation style is so very friendly.

    Could be more focused
Interesting topics, but he often gets lost as his thoughts wander all over the track. The Buddhist meditation track, aimed at improving concentration, could have been covered in a concise 10 minutes without the additional 21 minutes of rambling.

    Great tips!
I have enjoyed Anthony’s Podcast and I am very interested in the niche. I have always struggled with memory and always striving to improve it. Comedy and Copywriting
I’ve enjoyed several of these episodes, but really loved the interview with Kevin Rogers. People often warn against using humor in writing and videos because it can be easily misunderstood - and yet it’s clear to me that it’s a strong way to connect with audiences. Great insight into effective sales and copywriting. Always something cool to learn in Anthony’s podcasts!

    Now that I’m getting older
The Magnetic Memory Method Podcast has been great for me. At the age of 57, I need to remain competitive. Memory improvement does that for me. I also look forward to sharing these tools with my kids so that they can have a “leg up” in their studies and work.

    Works like a charm
The episode I'm memory palaces was a tremendous help. I can't believe how utilizing something that is in such vivid detail, but unrelated, can connect new learning so well. Anthony kills it was some really West heard of but very effective strategies for memory and learning.

"Remember" to listen to this show (about memory!)
Very interesting show. This memory method is incredible. As time goes by, I think I'll need this even more!

    Really gets you thinking
I've listened to about half of the episodes so far. I'm really enjoying the long format and the helpful tips. Following these ideas can really help with memory. I only have to issues. One, the examples given make little sense to me (but that is normal, everyone has different experiences and needs to make their own mental pictures). Two, every episode seems to be an advertisement for the "Magnetic Memory Method". I realize that is the name of the podcast, but still, over and over? Drop some of the pushing of his program and this podcast would get another star from me. Still, I like the podcast and will continue to listen to it.
