    Fire and water
Great show and host that are fans of quite possibly the worst combination of superheroes ever. Firestorm weighs it down heavily

    Selling Hawk and Dove Short
First, let me start by saying that I love this show. I am genuinely saddened that there are only 9 episodes left. Ryan Daily should be really proud of completing this series. I listen to every episode. You know a show is good when you find yourself laughing, agreeing with, and arguing with a recorded podcast. This show is like hanging out with friends. I have to say, though, that I totally disagree with Ryan's review of this issue. As a huge Hawk and Dove fan, I loved this issue. I was reading their monthly regularly when this came out, which made me buy the issue, and it added a really important layer to the monthly book. I don't disagree with you that it might be too tightly connected to the monthly series to really work for S.O., but, if one of the points of the book was to get people into other books or to get people who read other books to read specific issues, then it works. It was a lot like the Animal Man origin for me. Both worked as major additions to the monthly series. Again, great show. I hope that (after you get some rest) you have something else big on the horizon to fill the hole that will be left by the ending of this series.

It's no Secret...This podcast is awesome!
I only recently came across this podcast (in the past few days or so), but have since nearly caught up completely. It's always a joy to listen to Ryan and whomever is on the show to chronicle the origins of each person's favorite character. Johnny Thunder Rules! CEI-U!

    Secret Origin Podcast secret origin
Ryan Daly is a Nuclear Sub and a Tarnished Pyrite who likes the comic book podcasting world. He decided he would form his own band of Secret Admirers into a community of his own. He decided to review the great Secret Origins Vol. 1 series published by DC, tackling each story with a different co-host(s). He is an engaging host who makes each episode a lot of fun to listen to, and he makes great choices when it comes to the co-hosts. I plan to collect the missing issues I do not have yet, read them, and listen to the corresponding show for great insights, publication history of the characters, and other bonus content. This show is a worthy companion to the comic books!

This podcast should not be a secret!
So glad I subscribed to this podcast! The in-depth discussions Ryan Daly has with his guest co-hosts about the DC charcaters being featured in each issue does not disappoint. If you read comics in the 70's and 80's like me, you'll be taken on a nostalgiac adventure that will sure to bring a smile to your face.

No Secret - A Great Podcast!
This one is in my top 5. I haven't missed an episode yet. Ryan and his guests make some great observations about this awesome series and they pull no punches. If the artwork is dodgy or the storytelling nonsensical, they won't hesitate to point it out. But it is clear Ryan and his guests were true fans of the series. If you like the DC Comics post-Crisis universe, do yourself a favor and describe to this podcast. If you didn't, subscribe anyway. You won't be sorry.

    Makes Comics Better!
The comics that this podcast covers came out in the 1980's and they were very enjoyable at that time. This podcast makes everything old, new again because it is so much fun listening to the host and guest hosts cover each issue. The only bad thing is that he will eventually run out of issues. What will I do then????

Great Podcast on an Interesting Series
Secret Origins was a pretty unique title, and whether any given issue is great or lousy it's a series worth talking about. Ryan Daly brings his enthusiasm and a rotating slew of guests bring the expertize in whatever character's origin is being presented. This show is surprisingly tight, even for sometimes running nearly three hours. It stays on topic and the conversations are always fun to listen to. A must listen for any comic book fan, even if you don't consider yourself a DC person.

    A Pleasant Surprise
I read comic books. I like some of them but I love DC's characters because of their history and the feeling of legacy they have even in this New 52 era which I thought would never happen. When I was much younger in the 80's books like THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD, CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS, DC COMICS PRESENTS, and, of course, SECRET ORIGINS were my high holy texts. Not just because most of them were exciting reads but because they introduced me to all corners of the DCU from the caveman days of Anthro to the mindbending adventures of the Legion of Superheroes. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who loves and appreciates that part of the universe so I'm thankful for this podcast that celebrates and educates where all these stories started and the significance they still continue to hold today when the multimedia seems to overshadow where all this super mania started, the four-color monthlies were the only limit was imagination. Good work

    Terrific Secret Podcast
WOW! Thank you for hosting an amazing podcast on the DC Secret Origins comic run. I am currently collecting all the issues DC published back in 80’s and just happened to find your podcast. Your co host are great along with yourself. You guys have a deep and true understanding along with the love to discuss the writers and artist of that time era. Please keep this podcast going because like myself, there are other who are as enthusiastic about hearing about as I am.

For the 80's DC Comics Nerd in us all!
This podcast is excellent! One of my favorite aspects of my early comic book experience was the reading of the index like books such as Who's Who and OHOTMU. Secret Origins, with it's retelling of classic origins of golden and silver age characters, fits this bill. These books were a great gateway into the deep histiory of the DCU and comics in general. The podcast format with the revolving guest hosts is very entertaining. Ryan Daly guides each episode well as the constant as each host adds their own spin to things. If you are a follower of many of the different DC Comicbook podcasts out there, the guests will be familiar additions to each episode.

    Great idea + Great execution
DC’s classic SECRET ORIGINS comic was long overdue for a reappraisal, and host Ryan Daly brings the fun with this show and a revolving group of guests. I binge-listened to the first three shows, and can’t wait for more. If you’re a fan of 1980s DC Comics, then make sure you check this show out.

    The Secret Origins Podcast review
My only complaint is that I can only give it 5 stars. This was a great podcast. I read the secret origins comic (I started around the mid 20's or so and then back tracked the rest) as it came out and this podcast was a joy to listen to. Ryan and his guest show how much love they have for the source material and it was a pleasure listening to them talk. The only problem is now I have to wait for the next episode to come out.... Great work Ryan.
